Happy Holidays!

Photobucket

First off, I want to thank all those lovely brides that have allowed me to be a part of their special day. You ladies are the reason I do what I do!

I also want to thank all those vendors that have helped me put on these flawless events and always thinking of me.

This year has been a great year! I thank God everyday for blessing me with an amazing family and surrounding me with a great network of ambitious professionals.

I wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy 2010! May you all continue to prosper and enjoy the gift of life!

Best Regards,

Vanessa Serna

Michelle & Rodger: 11.07.09

On November 17th, Michelle and Rodger finally became husband and wife after 10 years of dating. Elaine, the mother of the bride, contacted me a month before the wedding to help coordinate her daughter's wedding. The first time I met Michelle and her mother, it was an instant connection! I was so excited to be a part of this wedding.

Michelle and Rodger held their ceremony at the beautiful Saint Francis De Sales located in Miami Beach. Next, the couple held a lavish reception at the beautiful Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables. I was super excited about this venue as it was my first time coordinating an event there. The photographer, Ivan Apfel, did an amazing job. To prove it, below are some pictures provided exclusively for One of a Kind Events. Enjoy!

Finally! The New Mr. & Mrs. Tomas!

The Westin Colonnade is known for its beautiful receptions in the hotel's rotunda area but instead, they opted for a private reception in the Merrick ballroom .To compliment the room's décor, Michelle and Rodger decided to use brown, gold, and ivory as their colors. To enhance the décor of the ballroom, amber up lights were used throughout the entire room.

Each table was decorated with brown satin linens, ivory napkins, gold chargers, and gold chivary chairs. The beautiful floral centerpieces were provided by our good friend, Helen, from Ever After Floral Designs. The centerpieces consisted of white jumbo hydrangeas, white spray roses, and hanging crystals.

Each ivory satin napkin was personalized with a brown satin ribbon and a small crystal brooch.

As favors, guests received maple leaf wine toppers. I absolutely love these!

The cake, by Ana Paz, consisted of an intricate design and the couple's crystal encrusted initials cascading down the side. This was absolutely beautiful and a focal point in the room!

To the Vendors (Gables Linens, JC Bash Productions, Ana Paz, Helen, Ivan, and Laura): As always, this could not have been done without you. Great job!
