How we met is the classic boy meets girl at fraternity house story. We met. We danced. We laughed. And we quickly fell in love at the ripe ages of 19 and 20. (bride and groom, respectively). We dated for three years in college at the University of Central Florida. As the days of college came to an end, Courtney made the hard decision to move back home to Philadelphia. Thus began the fun of a long distance relationship. While logging many phone hours, email hours and frequent flyer miles, the idea of moving was always floating back and forth between the two. Through a lot of tears, a lot of winded talks and a million sleepless nights, Josh made the move to Philadelphia in September 2007 after 5 years of dating. This was a huge. Josh grew up his entire life in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was a mama's boy to the fullest (in the most adorable way possible!), and hadn't quite found his niche in the job market. Luckily Courtney's family was huge and obnoxious and accepted him immediately as one of their own. Josh found his dream job at an advertising consulting firm and has never been so successful, career wise. In January 2008, Josh asked Courtney's parent's permission to marry their daughter. Courtney was ecstatic - unfortunately Josh didn't realize this tradition usually occurs days before the proposal. After a long, long, 11 months - Josh secretly purchased the most beautiful ring for Courtney. In the midst of everything, Courtney & Josh bought their first home - a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhouse in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The house buying purchase occupied Courtney's mind so much she had nearly stopped wondering when Josh would propose. After they made settlement, Josh insisted they visit their new home for the first time. While fumbling for the keys, Josh got down on one knee and asked Courtney the ultimate questions - would she be his wife? She screamed and cried and twirled. Josh picked up Courtney and carried her into their brand new home. It was the perfect proposal. Courtney's had dreamed of her wedding for years upon years... the thought of actually planning is the best possible thing to happen!!! Our wedding will be a huge display of everything we love about each other. We are inviting a huge group of friends and family to watch us join our lives together. Courtney dreams of a classic, elegant and lovely Saturday night affair. Josh's one requirement is live music - unfortunately bands are out of our price range - so instead, Courtney is surprising Josh by hiring live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We are unique as a couple because we've overcome it all - the typical and atypical obstacles that any relationship goes through - and we've stuck by each other's side through it all. We love each other with everything we know - we are each other's best friends. We are real and we are silly and we can't way to start the next chapter as husband and wife. We would love to be chosen because Courtney wants her wedding weekend to be perfect for all. A day-of-coordinator would help her day flow flawlessly, and due to money restraints, she may not be able to hire a DOC otherwise. We would love someone to help with all the little steps and make our wedding day the perfect celebration.
